Do Love Dichroic Glass Like I Love Dichroic Glass

November 29, 2009 by Cathi Milligan

header-aboutusTonight I was wondering what my blog topic would be and as I made some really lovely dichroic glass hearts on the torch I said to myself. Ah, dichro. I’ll write about dichroic glass. It’s that pretty sparkly glass that can be fused or lampworked or used in mosaics. I’ve been fsuing with it for some tiles for my bathroom and I’ve been making dichro hearts for some special orders. Do you work with dichro? Do you know about dichro? Do you know about CBS, Coatings by Sandberg. They’re the best of the best when it comes to dichroic glass. YOu must check out their web site. They have many products to choose from.

A little bit about dichroic glass…what is it? It’s a sheet that has been coated with metals and oxides in a vacuum chamber. The process requires a special chamber and a sheet can have as many as 96 different super thin layers of metallic coating. Check out their site to fond out all the in and outs of dichroic glass. Try it and become very addicted.
