DIY sewing tutorial: Burrito method for a lined sleeveless bodice

DIY sewing tutorial: Burrito method for a lined sleeveless bodice

If you’ve ever sewn a lined sleeveless tank or bodice, you probably remember the frustration when you realized that you can’t just place the lining and outer fabrics right sides together and sew around the neck and arm holes.  Because if you do that, you won’t be able to turn it right side out!  You can still create a nice clean finish for the neck and arm holes, but you have to take a few extra steps.  Emily at Life Sew Savory shows how to use the burrito method for sewing a lined bodice. She includes a instructions with photo, as well as a video showing how to do it.  Go to Life Sew Savory for her DIY sewing tutorial.

I appreciate that the instructions are clear and easy to follow, which is essential for a smooth crafting experience. I haven’t made it yet, but I can already envision how delightful it will be to wear. The texture looks rich and inviting, and I’m excited to see how the yarn choice will impact the final look.
