Crocheted Jar Cover Creates Cute Candle Holder

May 1, 2012 by Heidi Gustad

If you’re looking for a fun and creative way to add some personality to your home decor, consider making a crocheted jar cover. A Dash Sunlight, a Dutch blog, recently shared this idea on their website and it’s a simple yet effective way to turn any jar into a stylish candle holder.

While the blog post doesn’t provide a specific pattern for the crocheted jar cover, those who are familiar with amigurumi crocheting should be able to figure it out with relative ease. The basic idea is to create a cozy cover that fits snugly around the jar, leaving enough room at the top for a candle to be placed inside. Depending on your skill level and personal preference, you can experiment with different colors, textures, and stitches to make your jar cover unique.

Once you’ve finished crocheting your jar cover, simply slip it over a jar of your choice and place a candle inside. Not only will this create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your home, but it’s also a great way to repurpose old jars and reduce waste.

Check out the idea at A Dash Sunlight.
