It snowed in Iowa for the the first time last week, so it’s definitely starting to feel like winter in my neck of the woods! I love this “Winter Wonderland” party idea from Sweet Designs. Black Out Dry Embossing Technique with Folders
Mushroom and forest themes are very trendy right now with Forestcore designs popping everywhere even card making and paper crafting. Amy R. created some dark and moody cards using a cool black out technique with embossing folders. First she ran white cardstock in an embossing folder through her machine (she used a half wreath design with flowers and leaves) then she used colored ink pads and a blending brush to add color to the debossed sections, then lightly ran a black ink pad over the entire panel. Aren’t the results stunning!?
You can watch her video tutorial for this cool technique over on the Prairie Paper and Ink blog.
