I’ve seen a few variations of the ornament shots from A Subtle Revelry floating around Pinterest recently. While I have to admit that the idea of drinking out of Christmas ornaments with pretty paper straws seems festive, I’m not entirely sure it’s safe. Ornaments are obviously not made for this purpose and I’ve purchased several brands of glass ornaments in the past that were really flimsy. Personally, I wouldn’t want to throw a party and have one of my guests injure themselves trying to enjoy their drink.

However, I did find a set of Christmas ornament shot glasses on the Kohl’s website that look like Christmas ornaments but are actually made for use as drinking glasses. If you’re safety conscious or a little bit paranoid like I am, this might be a safer way to get the same festive look.
