Christmas Boxes And Tartan Wrap

I will be honest it has been a while since I put any effort into my Christmas wrapping, it’s basically been grab a roll of random paper from the discount store and slap on some sticky tape. I can’t remember the last time I added a bow or even a gift tag? Why? time, time just gets too far away from me and I am rushing and tired and it’s just turns into a whatever will do kind of situation. SO! of course I am crafty and this is NOT acceptable. This year I have decided to pre-purchase my packging and be ready. I have chosen these adorable Christmas truck boxes and tartan tissue paper which I am in LOVE with. I am literally only going to buy gift items that fit into these boxes.

This website has lots of different designs and I wanted to share it with you, because I can’t be the only time poor person who still wants to be creative for Christmas right?

Shark Week Learning for Kids

Shark Week generally happens in July, but any time is a good time to learn more about sharks. 

First, start with some fun whale facts like these from Kids Craft Room. Here I learned about the dwarf lantern shark, which is the smallest shark and only grows to about 6-8 inches (about 15-20 cm) long. It also emits light. How cool is that?

Living Montessori Now has a great collection of shark themed activities with a Montessori inspired twist. You’ll find a shark roll and cover, shark phonics and lots more shark activities Deb has collected from all over the Internet. 

Remember the “Sharknado” movie? A Few Shortcuts turned the combination of sharks and tornadoes into a fun science activity. You’ll need a bottle connector for this project but otherwise should have everything you need on hand. Use their template to make your sharks out of aluminum foil. So fun!
