Chocolate Diet Update

April 14, 2013 by Shellie Wilson

This is a progress report – for my Chocolate Diet Challenge (Read about it here)

If you haven’t been following the challenge, it is basically a meal replacement diet program for 8 weeks. The fun part is it’s all themed around chocolate.

Taste:  I like the taste of the meal replacement shakesthe berry ones are really nice too. I just add water to mine to reduce the calorie intake but I am sure with milk it would taste even more indulgent as the brand name suggests.

I have NEVER felt hungry on the meal replacement shakes in fact making sure I have a little something in between shakes has been a struggle as I don’t feel like eating. I also find that at night-time I don’t want sweet things, I don’t even eat the little chocolate they give you to indulge on at night-time. So I am getting my chocolate hit each day but from the shakes.

I have to admit I have not been exercising but then again I have not been sitting still either. (I have 2 kids under 5)

So how much weight have I lost?  2.5 kgs – 3 kgs  in 23 days but some of those days were Easter which meant skipping the shake due to peer pressure whilst on holiday. 🙁

This week I am going to try to exercise more and see if I can shift a little more. I seem to have a very slow metabolism so I would have expected anyone else on this challenge to have lost much more than me but you check out their posts for yourself.

Tina Gray  2.3kgs

Mummahh 2kgs

Etsy Spotlight – The Thomas Boys Shirt Sewing Pattern

This week in our Etsy Spotlight Series, we’re loving the timeless charm of the Thomas Shirt Sewing Pattern for boys. This versatile button-up pattern is perfect for every occasion—from backyard playdates to weddings and special celebrations.

We think this pattern really shines when paired with fun, bold prints—think quirky florals, vintage cars, tropical vibes, or even festive Christmas fabrics! It’s a fantastic way to let your fabric stash shine while creating something practical and adorable.

This pattern is a must-have for any sewing parent or grandparent. The design is polished enough for formal wear (wedding shirt, anyone?) but still comfy and easygoing for everyday use.

Tip: Try sewing it up in linen or lightweight cotton for summer, or use flannel for a cozy winter version.

Whether you’re sewing for your own kids or making gifts, the Thomas Shirt sewing pattern is a classic that’ll be on repeat.
