My good friend Leigh Adams, one of the infamous “Mosaic Mafia” pointed out this story today so I thought I’d share it with all of you. It’s for the mosaic folk and fine art lovers out there. The National Gallery of Art will be installing the Chagall Mosaic Mural that was donated by Evelyn Nef upon her passing. Marc Chagall worked in many mediums and created the mosaic for his good friends John and Evelyn Nef for their garden at their home in Georgetown. The work is 10′ x 17′ and is just gorgeous! Cardboard and yarn make great side-eye kitties
I love kitties and I love yarn, oh and “ugly Christmas sweaters” so this craft is happening now in my house. I have jars of scraps of yarn and of course recycled cardboard from boxes. Prowl on over to the blog Krokotak for the tutorial on how to make side-eye kitties in “ugly Christmas sweaters”. Have fun drawing all sorts of cat faces.
