Below is Carla’s description of her square pattern. Please keep in mind that English is NOT Carla’s first language. She has kindly offered this pattern and it seems clear to me. Using the back of the square patterns as a guide, I believe most will be able to reproduce Carla’s pattern:
The pattern of the squares is very simple: you start with a foundation chain of 5 stitches. Then make in the first stitch of the chain 3 single crochet stitches (with this you close the ring) and do the same in the 2e, 3e and 4e foundation chain stitches. Then make 2 single crochet stitches in 2 subsequent stitches and then 3 single crochet stitches in 1 stitch and repeat this 3 times. After that make 4 single crochet stitches in 4 subsequent stitches and then 3 single crochet stitches in 1 stitch, repeat this 3 times.
