Another blog to read for truly interesting information about glass. It’s Behind the Glass, the blog for Corning Museum of Glass. Todays post is about Glass Lab over at Governor’s Island and the cool items being made for some designers. How wonderful is it to have glass blowers that can create beautiful glass from a designers drawings. I know I want access to that luxury. Personally I have tried glass blowing and I don’t really feel like it’s for me. I love blown glass though and love making glass that can be rolled up and blown by a glass blower. Well if you find yourself on the east coast and you need something blown from your design check in with the Glass Lab people and see if they can help you out…

Cardboard and yarn make great side-eye kitties
I love kitties and I love yarn, oh and “ugly Christmas sweaters” so this craft is happening now in my house. I have jars of scraps of yarn and of course recycled cardboard from boxes. Prowl on over to the blog Krokotak for the tutorial on how to make side-eye kitties in “ugly Christmas sweaters”. Have fun drawing all sorts of cat faces.
