How to Make a Mermaid Shaker Card

How to Make a Mermaid Shaker Card

Continuing on with our celebration of MerMay this week is a stunning Mermaid shaker card from Mindy. If you don’t know about MerMay it happens each year in May where crafters and creators make Mermaid themed arts and crafts and share them on Instagram and other social media platforms under the hashtag #MerMay. This week I’ve shared a big post with lots of handmade Mermaid card ideas as well as a FREE Mermaid digital stamp so be sure to check those out!

And today here’s a tutorial from Mindy using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn to create a super fun interactive shaker card. The stamped Mermaids were colored with Copic markers and she used colored ink pads to stamp out the solid coral and seaweed stamps, die cutting all the images. The background has die cut waves along with the die cut frame over the top, both ink blended with an ombre’ of blue ink pads. She filled her shaker with iridescent beads, sequins and stars and also included a heat embossed sentiment in the middle of the card.

You can watch her video tutorial over on the Lawn Fawn blog.
