This Christmas craft roundup is all about using popsicle sticks or craft sticks. You may have noticed a recent change in the way I create the Kid’s craft roundups. I have begun compiling the lists based on the materials used, this allows you to buy items in bulk and use them for multiple different crafts, allowing you to use up your craft supplies rather than having piles of 1/2 packets laying around your house.
These kid’s craft tutorials below all use wooden craft sticks and are all themed for the Christmas holiday season.
Craft sticks are most commonly used for preschoolers and toddlers but don’t let that restrict you from using them on older kids or using them yourself. They are just mini pieces of wood and the opportunity to use them in more complex crafts is endless. You are only limited by your creative imagaination.

As someone who ran craft classes for children out of a craft store many years ago, I am a big advocate of crafting for little hands. Seeing the children’s creativity and imagination come to life was truly inspiring, and it was amazing to see the joy on their faces when they completed their projects.
One of the reasons why crafting is so important for children is that it allows them to explore and express their creativity in a way that is both fun and educational. By working with different materials and tools, children can experiment with different textures, colors, and shapes, which can help to stimulate their senses and develop their artistic abilities.
Another reason why crafting is so important for children is that it helps to build their confidence and self-esteem. Many children may not believe that they are capable of creating something on their own, but through crafting, they can see the tangible results of their hard work and perseverance. This can help to boost their self-confidence and make them feel proud of their accomplishments.
In my experience running craft classes for children, I saw firsthand how much children can benefit from crafting. We were booked solid for months with over 40 kids (classes of 10) every Saturday, and the children’s enthusiasm and creativity never waned. It was truly a joy to watch these little hands create beautiful works of art and learn valuable skills that they could carry with them for the rest of their lives.
