20 Ways To Make Your Own Wax Melts

February 5, 2021 by Shellie Wilson

Back in the day, wax melts were not as popular as they are now. The primary method to add fragrance to your home was using oil burners, which were a new thing then. The process involved adding fragrant oil and water into a basic oil burner system. However, today, wax melts are all the rage. They are more convenient to use, less likely to spill, and come in a wide range of scents and styles.

This roundup presents 20 different ways to make your own wax melts. If you use wax melts daily, making your own can be an excellent way to save money and control the scents. You can experiment with different combinations of fragrant oils to create a unique blend that you will love. If you are a fan of Ylang Ylang, you can easily make wax melts that contain it, and it will make your entire home smell like a day spa.

One method for making wax melts is using silicone ice cube trays. They are the perfect size for creating small melts, and you can easily pop them out of the tray when they are ready to use. You can also use silicone cupcake liners or even empty toilet paper rolls.

Another method is using a double boiler to melt the wax, then adding your fragrance oils and pouring the wax into molds. You can use silicone molds, old candle containers, or even seashells to create unique and beautiful wax melts. If you are feeling creative, you can add dried flowers or herbs to your wax melts to give them an extra touch of nature.

If you want to make wax melts that are visually stunning, you can add layers of different colors or scents. This method involves pouring a layer of wax, allowing it to cool, then adding another layer on top. You can also add a touch of glitter or mica powder to give your wax melts some sparkle.

Making your wax melts allows you to customize the size, scent, and appearance of your melts. You can save money while enjoying a fun and creative project that will make your home smell amazing. With these 20 different ways to make wax melts, you are sure to find a method that works for you.
