The new Paddington Bear movie is already here, and my family can’t wait! This movie is perfect for kids of all ages, and a great laugh for the whole family. If you loved the first movie, or just can’t wait to watch the second one, then you will love these Kids craft ideas for your kids!

Paddington is a lovable character who often finds himself in funny or tricky situations. Kids relate to his sense of wonder and his desire to explore the world around him. Moreover, Paddington is always polite and kind to those he meets.

He is always up for a new adventure, whether it’s exploring a new part of London or traveling to a far-off land. Kids love his sense of curiosity and his willingness to take risks.

He’s a great role model for kids who are learning about social skills and manners.

Some facts about Paddington Bear before we get to the craft ideas

  • Paddington Bear was created by Michael Bond and first appeared in the children’s book “A Bear Called Paddington” in 1958.
  • Paddington’s full name is actually Paddington Brown, and he comes from “darkest Peru.”
  • The story goes that Paddington was sent to London by his Aunt Lucy, who couldn’t care for him anymore. He arrived at Paddington Station, where he was discovered by the Brown family.
  • Paddington is known for his love of marmalade sandwiches, which he carries around in a battered old suitcase.
  • The character of Paddington has been adapted into several TV shows, movies, and even a stage play.
  • Paddington has become a beloved symbol of British culture and is often associated with London.
  • Paddington has his own statue in Paddington Station, where he was originally discovered.
  • Paddington is often depicted wearing a blue coat and a red hat, which has become his signature look.
  • Michael Bond wrote over 20 books featuring Paddington, and the series has sold over 35 million copies worldwide.
  • In 2014, a feature film called “Paddington” was released, starring Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington. The film was a critical and commercial success, leading to a sequel in 2017.
  • Did you know that Paddington Bear isn’t actually named Paddington? His real name is  “Pastuso”. He was renamed after the station he was located.
