Over screen use in kids can lead to a range of physical and mental symptoms, including:

Eye strain and dry eyes: Staring at screens for long periods of time can cause eye strain, blurry vision, and dryness.

Headaches: The blue light emitted by screens can trigger headaches and migraines in some children.

Sleep problems: Exposure to screens before bedtime can disrupt sleep patterns and make it harder for kids to fall asleep.

Poor posture: Sitting in front of screens for long periods of time can lead to poor posture and neck and back pain.

Increased risk of obesity: Spending too much time on screens can lead to a sedentary lifestyle, which increases the risk of obesity and related health problems.

Decreased social skills: Kids who spend too much time on screens may have difficulty developing social skills and interacting with others.

Decreased academic performance: Overuse of screens can lead to decreased attention span and poor academic performance.

It’s important for parents to monitor their children’s screen time and encourage them to engage in other activities that promote physical activity, social interaction, and creativity. Limiting screen time and encouraging a healthy balance between screen time and other activities can help prevent these symptoms and promote overall wellbeing in children.
