Using school colors is a great way to tie together a graduation layout. Allison used a large die cut from black cardstock, backing the “grad” and diploma in different pattern papers and adding glitter glue to the congrats. I love the stitching she added for the caps tossed in the air! Find all the details at the Allison Davis for Scrapbook Generation blog.
The school year is winding down and that means the kids (and some adults) are graduating, whether it’s from elementary or collage it’s always a big deal and a reason to celebrate. Snap lots of pics of them in their cap and gown, holding their diploma, walking during the ceremony and at the big party afterwards so you can cherish these memories for years to come in your scrapbook. Let’s take a look at some fun graduation layouts to inspire you to get scrapping.

Black and white with touches of metallic are perfect for grad layouts! This one has an amazing angled border of gold and pattern papers that’s echoed by the angled caps border at the top along with fun grads accents like a stack of books , tassel and diploma. Even though it’s flat this fun digital layout still has lots of dimension with faux 3D flowers, a silhouette border and clusters of embellishments that look layered using products from Sweet Shoppe. I spotted this in AmaneseFe’s gallery at Scrapbook.com.
This awesome layout from Claire uses loads of vintage inspired school elements like a globe, desk, chalk board, ruler and bookcase full of books. The paper edges look to be torn from notebooks for added texture and the framed photos are popped up for depth. Learn more at the 49th and Market blog.
Mariel has a terrific idea to use actual items from the graduation celebration on the layout like a tassel and cupcake topper for embellishments. She also created her own fun pattern papers with a checkerboard and caps stencils. Find all the details at The Cherry on Top blog.
Because the sky is the limit stars and celestial designs are very popular on grad layouts like this beautiful page from Linda. She used a stary sky pattern paper background with layers of washi tape behind puffy teal letters for the title along with labels for sentiments and dates. Take a closer look at the Coca Daisy blog.
Primary colors and cute hand drawn images work perfectly for little ones graduating. This digi design has bright numbers, falling streamers, stars and a happy kid getting his diploma. Check out this idea and other pages using this same collection at Kate Hadfield Designs.
I love the idea of sharing two generations of women graduating like Caryn did on her pretty layout. She pulled green from the graduation gown to use in her embellishments and notice all the texture she included from torn paper, a lacy doily, folded fan and chipboard elements. I spotted this at the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
This cool mixed media design has lots of layers with removable tags, a half page with stamping and several grad girls tucked into a pocket. The grad is created with a stamp that has a blank face so you can cut out and add the face of your grad. For anyone that didn’t get the chance to wear a cap and gown but still graduated this is a fun way to incorporate it. This stamp is available at Unity Stamps.
This lovely page shows you don’t need graduation supplies for a layout. Lindsay created a beautiful floral design with pretty butterflies that work so well for feminine outdoor graduation photos. The Polaroid frame and title in black really pop among the pastels! I came across her idea on the Peartree Cutfiles Instagram page.
Jen used a plastic page template to quickly and easily decide where to place the photos on her graduation layout. The background is layers of black and white pattern papers with just a touch of red to match the cap and gown along with thick black thread to separate the different sections. Find all the details at the Simple Stories blog.
Here’s a clean and simple grad layout from Kimberly which totally focuses on the photos and journaling. She’s included a large photo and two smaller with some curved corners, lots of typed journaling with a bold title and a few gold stars and date for embellishment. I came across this on the Kim Documents Life Instagram page.
I wish all the new grads good luck on their future endeavors!
