If you enjoy making your own cards for the Holidays then you should try using those same supplies to create custom handmade Gift Tags too. You can even coordinate your cards to the gift tags as well and maybe even to the wrapping paper to take your Christmas packaging over the top! There are lots of punches and dies to create tag bases (or cut them yourself), decorate them like you would a card but on a smaller scale and then tie on some ribbon or twine to adhere them. Today let’s get inspired by some amazing Gift Tag ideas made with paper crafting supplies.

Gina used forest and deer silhouette style stamps over a beautiful ink blended background for this lovely tag. She also included a foiled sentiment and subtle sweater border along the bottom. I spotted her tag idea on the Gina K Designs Instagram page.
I love the bold purples and greens Jeanne used for her darling Gingerbread Men tags! She has lots of texture with layered label dies that have faux stitching, gems and grosgrain ribbon bows. Bobbi used products from Honey Bee Stamps for these delightful Gingerbread people tags. Notice how the tag is shaped like a baking pan, so clever! Behind the die cut cookies are dry embossed brick or a stamped recipe. Take a closer look at the Bobbi Hart Design blog.
And lastly here’s a stunning matching card and tag set from Emily. She used rich colors on a embossing folder that has a coordinating stencil for a pretty foliage pattern. She added heat embossed sentiments, some glitter cardstock and ribbons too. Visit the Altenew blog for all the details.
