My aging eyes desperately need an eye exam and new glasses. Not even the stronger part of my bifocals is strong enough for me to see clearly anymore and it’s been two years since my last exam.

I need this voucher so i can get new glasses I desperatly need. I do not have vision insurance and have only had my current glasses for about a year now. Already I am struggling to see but cannot afford another new pair. Thank you for the opportunity to win such an amazing prize!

I have been out of work for over a year and a half and have not had any health insurance. My glasses are so far out of date I don’t remember when I last got them. Not good when you are 59 years old and diabetic. It would also be nice to be able to see better!

  17. KittenWithAWhiplash on January 31, 2013 11:28 pm

I could use some new glasses. I’ve had this pair for over 12 yewars old, and they were not even made for me. I got them at a thrift shop for $6. I was broke, my glasses were broken, and I desparately needed a pair to pass the driver exam.

They are amazingly close to my ols presciption, and I’m still broke, so I just keep wearing them instead of getting a new pair. But lately I need something for reading or computing, so I guess I really need bifocals. Thanks for the giveaway.

Oh and try telling that to my husband who drives a semi and has to pass his CDL every year. This year he almost didnt pass as he could no longer read the small lines. Living on a fixed income is no picnic!

  65. Theresa on February 1, 2013 10:24 pm

I could really use it because I wasted so much money last fall buying a new pair of glasses at a new drs office. I don’t know whether the problem is because they are Crizal lens or that I got the feature that they darken in bright sunlight, but I can’t see clearly with them. Everything is a bit blurred and it is dangerous to drive with them. I can see better with an old pair of glasses that I have had for 15 years!!

  66. Terri on February 1, 2013 11:53 pm

I really could use a pair of glasses with un-scratched lens.

In the past month I have had two major eye surgeries and when things heal will need a new pair of glasses. I was legally blind before the surgeries but am very lucky and have regained a lot of vision thanks to a fantastic doctor!

  76. Ginny M on February 2, 2013 9:09 pm

Like most of us, unemployment, no insurance and bad economy – glasses are becoming more of a luxury and less of a necessity. A lot of us take poor eyesight as just a part of life now.

  77. Shereen Timmerman on February 3, 2013 4:06 am

I help supplement our household by letting my creative side blossom. I can’t hold a job as I get cluster headaches. However I’m very busy making stained glass panels for our military and making coasters and Jewerly in my kiln. The cluster headaches have caused 7 Cataracts and I can no longer drive at night. I make do with cheater glasses from walmart but soon those will need to be replaced with real glasses. My husband needs glasses too. It just seems there is always something more important to purchase. I would LOVE to get good glasses after my surgery in June.
    Thanks!!!

She has 2 small children . Her son had brain surgery in September and is still having issues. And all of his medical expenses over the last 4 years is putting their home at risk of forclousure.

I need +7 to see my crafts clearly (very far sighted.) Drug store reading glasses only go to +3.5. When no one’s around to see (and call me 6-eyes, like one “friend” did), I was doubling up 2 pairs of $10 drug store glasses & it actually works if you find a style frame you can wear 2 of at once. (+3.5 + +3.5 = +7 and so on) Embarrassing to admit, but since I can see times are really tough for a lot of people, thought it might be something for folks without $300 for prescription ones to try when you’re alone with your crafts (unless you’ve got a really tough skin & don’t mind the teasing! :) – its better than nothing, anyway, that’s for sure. – good luck in the contest.

My eyesight has dramatically declined recently. My insurance covers only the bifocal lined ones, the cheapie ones that have that break easily. I NEED one that won’t show the bifocal line, due to my eye sensitivity (I get extremely dizzy looking through lenses with bifocal lines and things up close) and want a good one that will last. Not enough money to make ends meet, no less pay for specs. Thank you for this giveaway. At least one of us will be blessed.
