So CraftGossip is no newbie when it comes to 3M as we have reviewed and given away their stuff before, but when 3M Australia invited me to do another review and giveaway of their 3M command clear hooks, refusing was not an option because I love their products.

The only problem was that they sent out to me the biggest box of “products” and I literally had to go around the house sticking hooks into places that never needed hooks before.

The actual object of my review was to “Hang” Christmas decorations using the Command 3M Clear hooks which in case you didn’t know are damage free. Which means you can pull the special tab and remove them safely from your wall. When overloaded (oh yes I did), these do not remove without damage and you must pull the tab and follow the weight guidelines exactly! Each packet is clearly marked for it’s weight load suitability and apparently that is there for a reason :)

Here are some shots of the hooks in action as I decorated and hung basically everything in my Christmas box.

3M stockings

I started off by hanging my Husband and Wife stockings which I hand embroidered when I was a child; free, young and in love. We never actually put anything in these so the small hooks were suitable and easy to hide.

Christmas Bunting

This handmade Christmas bunting was easy to hang with 3 hooks and adds a whole lot of festive cheer to my hallway.

Santa Sack

Grandma made this Santa sack which was so large we decided to hang it on the wall as a decoration until Santa comes. I used the large 900g hook just in case Santa had a little too much eggnog and cookies and popped something in to the sack without thinking to take it down first.

DIY Advent Calendar

You might want to check out my DIY Paper advent calender too which took more hooks than anticipated but is still hanging where I left it. There is a lot of humidity in the room and they did pop off a couple of times. Click the image to go to the project.

GIVEAWAY!

So you want to stick something too?  You want to win a prize pack? Well here comes the “sticky situation” bit. When 3M sent me the Command Clear hooks they not only bundled up my review products they sent me your prizes too. So basically I stuck your hooks all over my walls.

But never fear 3M have decided they will get me out of the sticky situation and we are giving you the chance to win a pack of 5 assorted 3M Command Clear Hook packets. We have 3 prize packs to giveaway to 3 lucky readers.

For your chance to win, comment below and tell us what has been your most recent/funniest or worst sticky situation.

Nothing recent but I once got my head stuck in one of those hanging fly traps!

  2. Victoria Sturdevant on November 30, 2012 4:49 pm

I ended up stapling my grandson’s Mt. Rushmore project to the wall – nothing else would hold!

  3. Mary Landau on November 30, 2012 7:27 pm

I love these hooks. We just repainted a few rooms in our home and I do not want to add more holes to my walls now! So, Command hooks to the rescue. I’d love to win these.

  4. Melinda Starnes on November 30, 2012 7:28 pm

We built a new house this year and moved in a few months ago. now it is time to decorate for Christmas and the husband doesn’t want to mess up the walls, rails, etc by using nails or screws. We saw these on TV the other day and thought we like to try them.

  5. jessica w on November 30, 2012 7:29 pm

we used some for canvases on the wall, and they fell down cause we hadn’t wiped them off well before putting on the command strips and it scared our guests half to death

  6. de on November 30, 2012 9:37 pm

I put up edge molding for photo holder strips.

  7. Coral on November 30, 2012 11:34 pm

I accidentally bought knock-off Command Strips. The frame they were supposed to be holding fell off the wall onto a power outlet and blew the fuse, also scaring me to death. We had to get an electrician in to fix the outlet. Needless to say, I make sure I get the real thing from now on.

  8. Mary Mac on December 1, 2012 1:16 am

Worst situation. missing the nail and putting a large hole in the dry wall with the hammer. I now use command hooks

  9. Beverly on December 1, 2012 1:21 am

I use them all over the house.

  10. Bev C on December 1, 2012 1:38 am

Gosh I need these. We are always drilling holes in the wall. My daughters would be able to put up all their photo’s if I won this pack. Thanks so much for the chance to win some.

    Happy days.

  11. Sharon Maughan on December 1, 2012 1:38 am

Many of the surfaces in the church won’t stand tape or tacks but will hold up decorations when we use command hooks. They’re perfect for weddings.

  12. Dana on December 1, 2012 1:38 am

The most sticky situation I can think of is my mistake using for fabric gathering – plastic glue instead of fabric glue, you van imagine what a mess was on my table with all the liquid glue allover, ofcourse the fabrics went directy to the trash can…

  13. Joan on December 1, 2012 2:34 am

My LATEST sticks situation was decorating for Christmas, I needed to hang a wall hanging up. Guess my hubby won’t know about that drywall project til January :)

  14. Fran on December 1, 2012 2:39 am

I used an inferior sticky product ages ago & ripped a hole out of the plaster when I tried hanging something from it!

  15. Sarah on December 1, 2012 2:57 am

Our Garaden Club decorates @ a nursing home @ Christmas and they are rather particular about what and where we can hang things. This would help immensely. Thanks for the chance!

  16. Violet W. on December 1, 2012 3:27 am

I love using command hooks. I have them in my craft rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, utility room, outside…. You get the idea. There are so many places and so many things to hang! I don’t think that there is any place or any where that I couldn’t use them! I hate holes in the wall and this has solved that problem.

  17. Teresa Novak on December 1, 2012 4:54 am

Before Command Hooks we used a lot of poster putty for small things, and trying to remove dried up poster putty is a sticky situation. :)

I need lots of Command Hooks for decorating at my daughter’s wedding in February, so I hope I win this great prize.

  18. Donna H on December 1, 2012 4:54 am

My worst stickey situation – I walked into a piece of art in a gallery and it fell to the floor and broke! I think they should have used command strips to hang the art :)

We have a new house and I would love to use these to hang things instead of putting holes in the walls. Thanks for this giveaway!!

  19. Joan on December 1, 2012 4:56 am

My grandson has mastered the use of packing tape, especially on cardboard box forts!

  20. Sally Greiner on December 1, 2012 6:08 am

As a new teacher at a brand new school, I wanted to make sure my classroom was decorated to the nines I couldn’t get any kind of tape to stick to the walls. Someone suggested using a hot glue gun to hang all of this kids’ art work. I spent 2 nights decorating my room before open house. The next week I tried to switch the art work and found that not only the hot glue ruined the art work, but it didn’t come off the walls! Omg! It took me until Christmas to pick each string go glue off my walls along with some paint. What a disaster!!!

  21. Donna R on December 1, 2012 6:09 am

I am constantly using glue of some sort or another for craft projects and usually have it all over me or the project. These strips sound like they would be essential for help in organizing my craft area and around the house. Thanks for the chance!

  22. Shari Harniss on December 1, 2012 6:12 am

Nasty, big ol’ holes in the wall! Yuck!

  23. Kim on December 1, 2012 6:25 am

If it weren’t for command strips I’d have holes all over my house. My husbands answer to hanging anything is his power drill! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  24. Annie on December 1, 2012 6:29 am

When hanging a picture frame, I once hammered a nail right through the wall, and left a nice-sized hole in the wall. When 3M Command came out, I was ecstatic. I use 3M Command products for EVERYTHING, both at home and at work. My latest is their cord holder, which I use at work (I’m a teacher) for my Smartboard cords.

  25. Carrie on December 1, 2012 6:41 am

I learned through experience that these don’t work well on glossy surfaces, like semi gloss paint. When I painted my daughter’s room this summer, I made sure it was flat paint just so I could use these. I painted her room a teal color and even found some teal 3M hooks to put up for her!

  26. dee lowe on December 1, 2012 7:00 am

Oh My Gosh I love , Love 3M Hooks, they are all over my house and I even have spray painted them if I couldn’t find the right color. The Command tape is awesome. I could kiss the founder of this great product!!!

  27. Alice on December 1, 2012 7:01 am

I hung a hand mirror in the bathroom with a suction cup holder. When it came loose I broke the mirror in the sink. I hope to change my luck with this chance to win the perfect holders.

  28. RUTHANN on December 1, 2012 7:04 am

LOVE MMM PRODUCTS,,,,,,,TOO MANY STICKY SITUATIONS TO COUNT!

  29. Sharon Brush on December 1, 2012 7:11 am

I used them to hang by ceramic bird. He is a parrot. Did I mention that he is in a birdcage, sitting on his perch. Oh, the cage is metal and the cage is hanging on a hook. I love my bird and his cage and he looks cool hanging on the wall.

  30. Michele on December 1, 2012 7:14 am

These products are amazing!! I have them here and there around the house but would love more!! A sticky situation gone bad was once crafting with the kids and the dog stepped into the glue container… need I say more?!!

  31. Claire C on December 1, 2012 7:17 am

I need some of these hooks, I moved house yesterday and have so many things to hang up, these hooks would save me a lot of time. I hope I win, I have my fingers and toes crossed. Thanks.

  32. Rose S on December 1, 2012 7:26 am

I love these! Especially during holidays when I put up lots of lights.I never seem to have enough & would love to win these! Thank you for the opportunity!

  33. Marcy Guenette on December 1, 2012 7:53 am

Bubble gum has presented my worst sticky situations. In the excitement of a high school basketball game, a boy behind me lost his bubblegum and it landed on the top of my head. The gum needed to be cut off – resulting in a cowlick for several months. Years later a piece when through the washing machine just fine, but then produced hundreds of sticky dots when it melted in the dryer. Not a Command Strip story – just plain ol’ sticky situations. Thanks for the chance to win some 3M products.

  34. Candace Butler on December 1, 2012 8:18 am

My kids and I tried to make salt water taffy and it did not get set enough before we tried to pull it. Talk about a sticky situation..sticky everywhere.

  35. Missy Owoc on December 1, 2012 9:23 am

I love 3M Command – we have been repairing and repainting the walls and I just dont want to mar the paint! These would be a welcome prize!

  36. Kathy Donnenworth on December 1, 2012 9:45 am

I have all these goodies to gang and to hold. I’m ready to win! The last time I tried this on my own the pic frame weighed down the nail and it all went crashing to the floor.

  37. Lindsay on December 1, 2012 10:00 am

Yay! I need these! I just moved :)

  38. Sharon Sink on December 1, 2012 10:13 am

    Command hooks are always needed!

  39. Pat morris on December 1, 2012 10:27 am

Love the fact that they don’t put holes in my old plaster walls.

  40. Diane Cook on December 1, 2012 10:53 am

Our most recent sticky situation was trying to keep the kittens out of my hand painted bulbs! they’ve already broken 3 of the ones I had painted 2 nights ago lol, guess things happen.

  41. Sheila on December 1, 2012 11:02 am

I’m currently trying to figure out where and how to hang my Christmas stockings (no fireplace or mantle).

  42. stacee on December 1, 2012 11:02 am

I totally love these things; I’m a renter who loves to hang things on my wall to make my place feel like home. I can hang everything without worry.

  43. Marlene on December 1, 2012 11:11 am

My grandsons have discovered Duct Tape. They cover everything with it.

  44. Carissa on December 1, 2012 11:15 am

I am a college student and living on campus. Command Strips are the only way to make our rooms look like a home because we cannot use push pins or nails to hang anything up. These are the best, and come off clean at the end of the year. LOVE THEM!!!!

  45. Julie Henderson on December 1, 2012 11:21 am

What a providential giveaway item! Christmas is the ideal time to use these, for temporary decor, etc. I could SO use some, & would pass some along to our church childrens minister. Peace to all for the Christmas season! :-)

  46. Shelly on December 1, 2012 11:59 am

We’re in a rental and already have too many wall patches to do. I need these hooks for my Christmas decor!

  47. Anne Marie on December 1, 2012 12:12 pm

Love this product – my sticky problem was spilling an entire bottle of fabric softener – now that is a sticky mess.

  48. Christina on December 1, 2012 1:26 pm

I hung a glass from a knock-off hook once and it smashed on the floor. Lucky me.

  49. Darcy on December 1, 2012 1:40 pm

I currently live in a travel trailer…I don’t want to put nails in the walls because you can’t just paint over the holes..so I need these to decorate!

  50. joyce on December 1, 2012 1:57 pm

Command hooks are so handy. I have used them for Christmas decorating in the past. They really hold up.

  51. Knitting Teresa on December 1, 2012 2:05 pm

I would use the Command Strips to hang pictures.

  52. Kim on December 1, 2012 2:39 pm

Can’t really think of a sticky situation at the moment, but I sure do love Command hooks! :)

  53. Nancy D on December 1, 2012 3:25 pm

These are the best hooks! Its all I ever use! I have used them since they came out and always have a supply handy! I can’t recall any “sticky” situations I’ve got myself into recently. Unless of course you count my crafting sessions with modge podge and glue :)

  54. Ginny D on December 1, 2012 3:29 pm

I bought off brand strips and hung up picture frames in my bathroom. In the middle of the night I heard a loud bang, and they had fallen off the wall. Thought I was going to have a heart attack!

  55. T on December 1, 2012 3:37 pm

Ummm…hate to even admit this but while using the school laminator for a classroom poster…I noticed some squiggly fringe-like stuff on my poster as I was guiding it through the laminator. Why? Yep..you guessed it!! While leaning over I had laminated my lovely fringed silk scarf right into the poster! And yes, since it was attached to me around my neck…I did have to cut myself out of this “sticky” situation. — As for Command hooks…love them for the classroom!

  56. Katrina Kellmer on December 1, 2012 4:46 pm

I can not think of any “sticky” situations. I do have two command hooks holding up the cord to my radio in kitchen. It has been four years ago that I put the radio in my kitchen. Staying power Command. Sweet! Great Giveaway!

  57. Marty Askins on December 1, 2012 5:05 pm

My 2 sons hung up some of their artwork when they were younger and they put about 20 holes in three walls of their room. I won’t let them hang anything else, unless it is with command strips. Thank you for the chance to win.

  58. Connie on December 1, 2012 5:29 pm

My stickiest situation was getting my waist-length hair caught in a wire wheel. I had to be cut out.

  59. Cynthia on December 1, 2012 6:13 pm

I love these hooks. My kids love posters from different bands. This makes it easy to change them around when they have more posters than wall space.

  60. sandra k williams on December 1, 2012 6:16 pm

i have been redoing two childs rooms and i really do not want more holes so these would be just what i would like to try.

  61. ellen lai on December 1, 2012 8:17 pm

I hang a number of small photo frames on the wall with blue tac, but one night, they dropped down in the middle of the night and gave us a good fright!

  62. Bonnie on December 1, 2012 8:58 pm

I used “poster putty” to hang a poster in my son’s room; it wasn’t supposed to damage walls. When the putty is taken up, the paint comes off, or it leaves a “greasy” mark.

  63. Theresa on December 1, 2012 9:44 pm

Worst situation was when the adhesive on the hook loosened and fell while I had a wall christmas tree hanging. Broke a very nice ornament.

  64. Tracy on December 1, 2012 10:01 pm

I always kept a tube of super glue in our Accounting office for paper cuts. Seals them up and they don’t hurt at all. I cut myself, tried to pull the straight pin I had in the end of the tube out (pin kept the hole open) …with my front teeth ….the pin finally came loose along with half of the super glue onto my front teeth, lips and fingers on both hands. Just so ya know, Kleenex only made my situation worse.

  65. Daphne on December 1, 2012 11:55 pm

I’m taking a new position as a speech therapist in a school…my office is a tiny closet of cinder blck walls, covered in Velcro squares that WON’T BUDGE! Isee lots of Goo Gone in my future, and 3M hooks as a Velcro replacement!

  66. Deb (Two Cheeky Monkeys) on December 2, 2012 1:38 am

I love using fabric glue, but the tube size available is really a bit too much for me to use before the glue starts clogging up the nozzle end. So the other day I was trying to squeeze fabric glue onto felt pieces while stopping the glue squirting out of holes that were randomly appearing in the tube sides and trying not to get my hand stuck to the tube or the felt at the same time.

  67. Linda Rumsey on December 2, 2012 3:00 am

I can’t remember any “sticky” problems or funny incidents. Perhaps I’ve just been lucky?

  68. Lee on December 2, 2012 5:41 am

I broke a entire large bottle of basalmic vinegar – trust me – sticky and it stains everything! thanks for the review and giveaway!

  69. Arcia on December 2, 2012 7:36 am

looking forward to using a product that I can use to display my many acrylic paintings

  70. kathy on December 2, 2012 8:29 am

Could really use these in my daughters room.

  71. Darla Welch on December 2, 2012 8:48 am

I proctor testing for ADA students at a local medical college. With Command hooks I’m able to hang a “Test in Progress” sign on the door to the testing room, eliminating unwanted interruptions.

  72. Lori on December 2, 2012 9:48 am

I got an idea for binder clip frames for kids artistic creations and have several made but, I couldn’t figure out how to hang them, they are light weight and have no glass in them so I’m thinking these would be PERFECT.

  73. Jeanette Troutman on December 2, 2012 12:00 pm

I always have difficulty with the garland staying in place on the mantle. these products would work great.

  74. CathyH on December 2, 2012 12:53 pm

I started making a mosaic box and one morning found my very young nephews and nieces had decided to surprise me and work on it. Appreciate their creativity but they ruined it!

  75. Denise Ridener on December 2, 2012 3:45 pm

Last Christmas I decided to hang a wreath with garland streamers over the dining table using scotch tape on the ceiling and walls Needless to say, as we were enjoying our Christmas dinner I watched in horror as the tape let go and everything ended on the table. Everyone was a good sport and we all had a laugh over it.

  76. Shawn Johnson on December 2, 2012 4:55 pm

My sticy situation was not fun at all. I was probably 7 or 8 when we were at my gramas house in the winter and my parents said ok kids get your boots on and stand by the door. So I was waiting there and decided I wanted to lick the frosty aluminum door and my touque became stuck to it!!! Needless to say I never licked anything metal again!!

  77. sandy b on December 2, 2012 8:42 pm

I use these at home and at work. Sticky situation was using the blue colored taky stuff to post notices at work on white walls – blue oily marks left allover.

  78. bladerunner5 on December 2, 2012 8:57 pm

Let’s see, would it be trying to hang artwork in an office with concrete walls and far too many layers of cheap paint? Or would it be trying to use small picture hanging nails only to find out the walls at home are lath & plaster? Either way, nothing’s going on those walls without some sort of adhesive, and nothing’s coming off them neatly (read: without f@cking up the paint) without Command.

  79. Dennis on December 2, 2012 11:35 pm

Well last year we hung every thing up with double sided tape not thinking what it would do to the walls some of the things didn’t want to come off the walls so we had to force them off the wall leaving behinds some large holes and a lot of drywall. Never use duble sided tape to hang any thing. This year we are using Command.

  80. Ofelia on December 3, 2012 3:10 am

I don’t want to make holes in the wall again.
    Thank you for the giveaway.

  81. Andrea on December 3, 2012 9:17 am

Just broke a homemade Christmas glass
sun catcher yesterday. The plastic suction
cup device didn’t do it’s job.

  82. Judy on December 3, 2012 10:21 am

I dropped a large bottle of honey on my storage room floor and it broke into pieces. What a mess! Would love to win!

i got a sticky mousetrap with a live mouse stuck to my foot once while at work and couldn
t get it off. alot of people were laughing at me

  84. Dani Vilella on December 3, 2012 1:27 pm

We just bought our first house and the garage door broke with us inside! We weren’t aware but the side door was broken and we got stuck in our own garage!

  85. Angela on December 3, 2012 1:59 pm

I just used a set of the white hooks to hang my business banner at my first craft fair this weekend! Would love to win some of these, they’re great. used them all over the place when my parents renewed their vows a few halloweens ago.

  86. Darlene Holte on December 3, 2012 2:12 pm

I don’t use anything but command hooks to hang items in my house. They are the best! The stickiest situation I’ve been in recently was actually a shocking one. I had a horse standing on my foot and in my attempt to dislodge said horse, my backside hit the electric fence of the corral. Needless to say, the horse got off my foot real quick! :)

  87. Mai on December 4, 2012 1:00 pm

I just recently used some command hooks to hang picture frames and keys in the house. I can still some more for upcoming projects.

  88. erica on December 4, 2012 1:22 pm

I’ve always used command hooks to hang our stockings, they are great. Haven’t had any “sticky” situations though!!

  89. julie on December 4, 2012 7:32 pm

I use the 3M command hooks ALOT. At home and our office but they are especially useful at Christmas. I couldn’t complete my mantle decorations and hang our 6 stockings without them! Last year while talking on the phone and decorating the mantle I put all 15 the command hooks upside down except the last one. UGH. thank goodness they are super easy to remove and i had plenty of extra strips!

  90. Steve Stone on December 4, 2012 11:40 pm

I used to nail up posters as a kid. my mom loved that.

  91. William on December 5, 2012 12:18 am

I was working on a project for a college class and was using rubber cement to try and attach foam together to construct an animal cell and a plant cell. I was at the college in a small enclosed room and the rubber cement would hold any foam together at all but the worst part was I was light headed and my eye’s and nose were irritated by the fumes from the rubber cement. Lesson = rubber cement and foam do not work together and do not use rubber cement in small in small enclosed spaces.

  92. Kim m on December 5, 2012 2:36 am

I got my tounge stuck to the icy part of the freezer when I was cleaning it out recently, not a lot of fun!!

  93. jenlyjen on December 5, 2012 10:53 am

When my husband and I were dating we fought a lot. One time we were arguing while sticking flypaper to his ceiling. I got my long hair caught in the flypaper but was too mad/proud to ask for his help. But I got more and more tangled until I had to stop arguing in order to ask him to unstick me. The laughing at my expense did stop the fighting!

  94. Cynthia C on December 5, 2012 11:47 am

Nothing for me, but I laughed a lot at the Dick Van Dyke episode when Mary Tyler Moore got her toe stuck in the bathtub spigot.

  95. OHSue on December 5, 2012 11:18 pm

I am sure my sticky situation is not unheard of, but I stuck my finger and thumb together while opening a tube of ‘Super Glue’, used the other hand to try to get the cap back on and glued the cap to my other finger.

  96. Barbara Roberts on December 5, 2012 11:47 pm

I live in Alaska. We have a vapor barrier in our exterior walls. If we put even a pinprick hole in it, we can have humidity get into our walls and freeze. (The ice builds up throughout the winter.) In the springtime it “glaciers” or thaws and crashes down within the wall causing water damage not to mention that ice isn’t a good insulator especially at -40F (which we’ve been close to already this winter). With all this in mind, Command hooks would help us heat our house.

  97. Sandy on December 6, 2012 12:17 pm

Recently me and my daughter got glued together by nail glue (very, very strong!) when I was helping her put on fake nails!! We had to use nail polish remover to separate again!

  98. Isabelle on December 6, 2012 12:18 pm

very recently was making paper chains for x-mas and after a while they just fell apart! The glue must have been extremely bad :(

  99. Kelly on December 6, 2012 9:13 pm

I currently had to cut my fingers out of packing tape after it went crazy and wrapped completely around my hand

  100. Arcia on December 7, 2012 4:23 am

  101. cindi on December 7, 2012 9:09 am

  102. Tracy on December 7, 2012 9:23 pm

My necklaces are all knotted together! Even one my husband gave me for the birth of my first child (almost 9 yrs ago). I need these hooks to hang them once I untangle them all….

  103. Padma Miller on December 7, 2012 10:35 pm

My daughter got a HUGE wade of gum in her hair. PEANUT BUTTER got it out after about an hour.

  104. Stephanie Larison on December 7, 2012 11:43 pm

I’ve tried to use tape on the wall to help keep pictures from falling. It’s not so easy to get off when it’s all sticky!

  105. Karen Gonyea on December 8, 2012 8:38 am

I have tried everything to hang holiday decorations; I have actually had to have my hubby wire stuff to banisters, etc, to keep them from moving on me !!

  106. Karen Zumbrun on December 9, 2012 5:19 pm

Hi, I superglued myself to the cat once. He jumped up on the table to see what I was doing – right in the middle of my project.

  107. Gil Crews on December 10, 2012 6:42 am

I bought some of this Tacky stuff that was yellow, thinking it was just for a short period and it would work just as good as command does…what I ended up with was a lovely yellow stain on my wall. Should have known better. lol.

  108. Lindy on December 11, 2012 11:10 am

Nothing really comes to mind….we just moved and I actually haven’t tried to hang anything yet as we are painting and remodeling.

  109. InJuneau on December 11, 2012 11:34 am

Oh, have I taken paint off walls using the wrong kinds of things to hang up stuff!

These would be great for our house, because we have an old house with plaster and lath and don’t want to nail into the plaster to hang art. We have picture rail in two rooms, but that leave a lot of rooms/hallway with no way to safely hang up art.

  110. Beverly44 on December 11, 2012 7:14 pm

Love my command strips. I use them all of my classroom and at home.
In the fall I didn’t clean the wall, needless to say my clock fell off, twice.

  111. Cassandra McCann on December 11, 2012 9:43 pm

one time my oldest thought super glue would be great on a toilet seat for April fools day. I was the lucky fool

  112. Mary Anne Loveless on December 13, 2012 4:00 am

I’d love to try these products.

  113. Debbie Supak on December 14, 2012 12:03 pm

I am a teacher and have used them througout the school since we can’t hang anything on the walls. Use them in classroom to hang headphones on the computers and they are also used to hang the hall passes outside the restrooms, which works great. Most recently used them as pew bow holders for a wedding. What a great invention!!! Sure beats Ticky Tack that takes the paint and drywall with it.

  114. Debbie Supak on December 14, 2012 12:07 pm

Used throughout the school for posters, headphones and hall passes. Recently for pewbows for wedding. What a great invention! Sure beats sticky tape that doesn’t hold, but takes paint and drywall off the wall.

  115. Chris on December 15, 2012 1:51 am

I tried them on an outside wood post once and the bird feeder held for awhile, then fell and the squirrels dragged it up in a tree. I had to wait for winter and a good storm for the feeder to fall. Otherwise I love the darn things.

  116. Charlene Anderson on December 16, 2012 4:50 pm

Up off the floor is always a good thing, and Command hooks make it easy!

  117. BJ on December 18, 2012 8:13 am

I use these for everything! I have the hooks on my bathroom door for towels and I just used the little hooks for my NOEL stockings . I not allowed around hammers…seems I put to many holes in the walls, I just don’t like it once it up…LOL
I would love some more of these…I just found out that Polly Pocket wall party needs them too…I don’t think Santa knows that…LOL

  118. Mary Calhoun on December 18, 2012 9:57 am

I recently moved to a new place. Turns out it has the same block walls as my old dorm in college 30 years ago! Boy would these come in handy! I’ve tried everything. The first few weeks I was awaked to the noise of something, or many things, falling off the wall at night. Now my pictures sit against the wall waiting for the newest solution to “How to hang photos on a block wall!” Every now and then I awaken to the sound of something falling. Get up and walk through the house. Nothing. Must be the ghosts of those that have fallen before.

  119. Paula on December 18, 2012 11:49 am

My friend and I was going to repaint a room when she grabbed onto the picture on the wall to remove it and evidently it was hung up with something else and pulled the drywall off. We had to re-patch the drywall before we could paint.

  120. Brandy Kunke on December 18, 2012 12:17 pm

    Cool products!

  121. Carol on December 19, 2012 8:45 am

I am a disaster with a hammer and nails, and holes in the wall are the result. The 3M Command Hooks would be a welcome solution. Thanks.

  127. Darby on December 23, 2012 7:45 pm

My daughter nailed holes in her dorm room walls..
Which we had to pay for at the end of the year. We sure could have used these Command hooks :)

  128. Lynda on December 24, 2012 8:02 am

My worst sticky situation is when the sticky hook falls off when I hang something on it. Most recently, it was when I hung my bathrobe on the hook in my closet & the whole thing fell down. It must not have been 3M!

  129. Tamar on December 25, 2012 11:39 am

  134. Melinda Starnes on December 27, 2012 4:24 pm

We are looking to find alternatives to banging holes in the walls to hang frames or decorations. We built a home this year and want to preserve that “new house look”. I have been looking at these in the store.

  135. adrienne z on December 27, 2012 7:33 pm

got my shoe stuck on a sticky mousetrap at work that still had a live mouse on it. It was a challenge to get off and took awhile. I was bartending at the time and was quite the laugh for the night.

  136. Ginger Benedict on December 30, 2012 8:44 am

Being’s I’m married to a carpenter, he does not like me putting holes in the walls, so I use Command strips for everything! He didn’t know how to remove one and ended up pulling the paint/paper off the wall. totally did it all wrong! I showed him how easy they were to remove but the damage was already done. He knows now!

  137. Rebecca Humphries on December 30, 2012 11:26 am

With my hubby being one of 11 I completely forgot about one of his sisters when I was baking cookies. Lucky I had a back up little pudding that I could quickly add a tag to – phew that sticky situation sorted.

  146. Judith R. on December 31, 2012 7:55 am

We were just about to set out for a weekend wedding when my husband informed me that a cap had fallen off one of his teeth. Since no dentists’ offices were open, I glued the cap back on with contact glue.

Bright and early on Monday morning, my husband went to his dentist to have the damage repaired but his dentist couldn’t remove the cap that I had so securely glued back on.

  154. Geri Nyland on December 31, 2012 7:23 pm

I could have really used these before I hung up my Christmas decorations…I actually used screws to hang up the stockings…I figured since we are remodeling our home this Spring and redoing the walls that it wouldnt matter, but now I gotta live with the screw holes until about April…I for sure will use these after so I don’t ruin our new walls…

  155. Melissa Shirley on December 31, 2012 8:08 pm

Our little toddler grandson was over and went in the craft drawer, which he is allowed to do. Unfortunately, I had put the Elmer’s glue in there, which I should not have done. Well, I forgot, but he found a great toy. By the time we saw him he had put it all over the floor, the walls, and the cabinets. He must have had a blast! LOL

  172. Ann Council on January 1, 2013 8:04 am

  177. Krista V. on January 1, 2013 3:45 pm

Sticky would be doing do-it-yourself projects in the basement and getting expanding foam all over myself. 100x worse than natural sticky anything.

By the way, 3M Command heavy duty picture hanging velcro is awesome.

  178. Tara Funair on January 1, 2013 4:42 pm

The children almost caught me trying to get our “elf” Fred to Zipline, the night before Christmas Eve. A clear command hook would have been amazing for the zipline to tie to !

At my last house, I put some decorations on the wall with a different brand of hooks. They were not suppose to leave any marks. Well, I guess you could say that they didn’t because they pulled part of the drywall off when they were removed. Oops!
